The undisputed dominance of Jio in Maharashtra, which brought digital revolution in India, has once again proved to be a milestone. Jio has become Maharashtra no. 1 telecom operator. In just four-and-a-half years, Jio’s customer market share has reached 38.15%, while Voda Idea, in second place, has a combined market share of 35.22% and a subscriber base of 3.28 million. Airtel with 1.79 crore customers and a market share of 19.20 crore placed on 3rd position
According to the December 2020 data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio has a undisputed dominance in Maharashtra. JIO who made his debut in September 2016, proved his supremacy by beating his existing rivals in the market who are there for many years.
In terms of revenue market share, Jio has already surpassed all competitors and bagged top position. Jio has a market share of 39.20% in revenue market share while Voda Idea has 29.89%.
In the last full quarter, only Jio and Airtel added subscribers while all other telecom operators lost their subscribers
Jio is none to second in data usage and more than 15,000 terabytes of data is being used on jio network, which is more than 60% compared to competing operators. In short, Jik is also number one in data market share. Thanks to Jio’s robust which has unbeaten performance even during many natural disasters.
